week 19 - Building bed, bought grill, made screen door

week 19  Aug 4-10
-------------------------
(04) Monday -  I FINALLY GOT LUMBER TO BUILD A BED. I have not started though.

I went into town and got material to make the screen door... a less daunting task. We play ultimate frisbee again as usual... but it was a much smaller group than usual... and I think everyone was a bit out of energy it was a harder game than usual it seemed... almost like it was played uphill and I remember losing sight of the disc because the sun was setting and right at disc height in the sky only occasionally blocked by clouds. Huge disadvantage if you were on sun blinded side.

(05) Tuesday - Woke up late and started blogging... I should try and frame the screen door today. Once the door is up it will allow a constant stream of ocean breezes into my living room. But I am afraid to built it because the way my door is constructed I have a dilemma of a choice to make... put the screen door on tightly fitting next to main door... a properly attached choice but if I do that then the screen door will not open 180 degree but only 90 degrees... I hesitate on this because I have a mountain bike I bring inside my house at night to prevent it from being stolen... so because it moves inside and out so frequently, if the door only opens 90 degrees it will be annoying to haul my bike in and out. This means I am forced to consider making spacers and positioning the way I mount the door to the wall so that it opens 180 degrees. This too had a problem. By adding what I call spacers will cause a gap around the top of the door allowing bugs to fly into the house. This is a bad thing. So I might be able to put a cover over the top of the door but it will look ugly and make the whole operation more of a pain in the ass. Or maybe I can make the door have a top section built into it. That way I won't have to put concrete screws into the wall to make the cover. This might require a photo to explain what I am talking about. Perhaps after I finish building it I will post one.
-----THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED------
I built part of my screen door and I also purchased a grill. The grill is awesome. I hope it gets a ton of use and makes life better. Seems like a few PC's were excited about it.

(06) Wednesday - Not sure what this day will involve... Isabelle from Ratua island had some late breaking news about power grants for Malo island. I would like to run out there and build a power quote with someone and eat at Ratua island but I am not really sure how to arrange such a trip.

And if I go out there then I won't be able to fix my screen door and prepare for the baby doc's coming to my movie night on Thursday... unless I build the door in the morning and focus energy on that all day.

Alright... another wierd day in Luganville.

I was working on my screen door at 6am when my principal came by to ask me to go to see the cruise ship and see if I could drum up some tourism biz for fundraising for the school... I did not realize that entailed me acting as tour guide for Ozzies... heh but that failed to happen after there was several yelling matches with rival tourism companies whom were very angry to see a 34 seat bus pull into the lineup. The cops stepped in and they prevented us from going because the driver did not have a proper license.

Then I went home and finished some more work on the screen door. Weird day.

(07) Thursday - Worked on screen door, and nearly finished with it just have to sink it into the wall.
Had the baby docs over and we grilled and watched the movie Neighbors. Had a great time. Dropped off the power quote.

(08) Friday - Busy day, Put the screen door into the wall, put the mirror up on my bathroom wall. Going to have another movie night for Jen N. not sure what we will watch. Dropped off water quote for Katie Peckler, and sent a photo of the power quote for Malo island to Isabelle.

======================================

(09) Saturday - Did a whole lot of nothing most of the day. But I have a login to Alma Student Info System. What a rad school tool.

At 3am I had hit and miss skype session with Ms. Mary Krotz.

(10) Sunday - It is raining and we were planning to go to Manavulu Blue hole with visiting Peace Corps Vol, Jen N and the santo Bike gang but not sure if the rain is killing that plan. So for now I will crank some Alice in Chains and internet. Made it far in Faster Than Light video game. Woot.
